Kathleen Wilke

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. I have taught art in school K thru 12, and also on the adult level. Recently retired from a 20 year career as a graphic artist, I now focus on creating watercolor paintings. I started out painting in oils and switched to water media, working mostly in watercolor. I love color and controlling the medium on the paper. My favorite subject is flowers, but love to paint animals and birds. I also paint abstracts. Abstracts allow me to concentrate on color and composition. I have won many ribbons and awards for my paintings in shows in Wisconsin and Florida.
